Hacking

Hacking is to break into computers, usually to gain access to administrative controls and private files. It affects a web designer in many ways. A hacker could gain access to the web site and control it. A hacker could also break into the website and find out private information such as credit card numbers, social security numbers, and very private/important information.

Hacking affects the user because the user could lose valuable items and information. For example, the hacker could delete or mess up important files on a persons computer. Another way it affects the user is because the hacker can steal from the persons computer. I think that hacking is a very bad thing, especially when they target peoples computers in search of information. However, when people hack games online and video games, I do not think that it is that bad because it usually does not hurt anyone.

Apple vs. Windows

I prefer Apple over Windows. This is for many reasons. One feature of Apple is that they don't get viruses as much. One feature of Windows is that they are easy to use. One poor feature of Apple is that they can get confusing to use. One poor feature of Windows is that they seem to ge viruses easily. I think that there such a big competition because  they both market to the same people and are around the same price range.

The first Mac was made in 1983. The first windows version was developed in 1985. Apple also produced the iPod in 2001. It was large compared to the 20-30 songs that the flash players could hold  in that time period. In 2006, Windows released Vista. Windows Vista improved security of peoples files using a new restricted user mode.

New Technology

The new piece of technology I am choosing to write about is the iPhone. I am writing abou this because it has a lot of new technology in it. It can be used as a PDA or even a game device, as well as a phone. I do think it will help the world in the future because it is very versatile. It may become obsolete in the future, but not for awhile because it is very nice now.

I would use the iPhone. I would use it because you can do many, many things with it. You can go on the internet, play games, and many other uses. It has a lot of memory too, so you can store many things on it.

Mark Zuckerberg

Mark Zuckerberg founded Facebook on February 4th, 2004. He went to Harvard. Three other students who went to Harvard accused Zuckerberg of making them think the website would be called "HarvardConnection.com", but the case was dismissed. There has been a movie based on Facebook. It is about what Zuckerberg went through to build the website and all of his legal troubles. It was released on October 1, 2010.

Another legal issue that Zuckerberg went through was that a man named Paul Ceglia claimed that he has 84% of the company and wanted money. Ceglia said he and Zuckerberg signed a contract that for an initial fee gave Ceglia 50% of the website's revenue. Zuckerberg said he never signed this agreement.

Logos

The Starbucks logo is my favorite logo, and Cazz's Sports Bar and Grille is the ugliest. Starbucks' logo is very nice, you can read it clearly and it has good colors and contrasting colors. Cazz's logo is very ugly and hard to read. It has bad colors, they are very flourescent and bright, which make it hard to read.

Red Robin Critique

Red Robin's website is very well designed. The colors are perfect, a lot of red and yellow. There is more red than yellow. There is a lot of color but not too much. The shapes are also good. They are mostly offset rectangles which bring out the colors and the whole site very much.

The lines of Red Robin's site are also nice. Mostly all of the lines are double and different colors. For example, the outline of the rectangles are yellow and another outline is red. This site is very easy to use. The links are very easily found and used. Also, right on the homepage is the "menu and locations" search, which makes it very easy.

This website is also easy to navigate. The links are clearly found and used. The site is big but still used easily. Nothing is oversized, it is all he perfect size. One thing I like about this site is how interactive it is. Another thing I like is how well it is all layed out. Red Robin's use of images is awsome. They show very appetizing pictures of their food.

I chose this photograph because it is an amazing photo and part of one my favorite things to do, race motocross. This photo have very good quality and very clear. I like it because it is mainly focused on the rider, not the backround. The rider is very clear while the backround and spectators are blurred.

This is at the Los Angeles Sueprcross track. It is part of the AMA (American Motorcycle Association) professional series. There are many tracks, but this one is my favorite. The rider went off of a jump and did a "whip".

Yesterdays Presentation

Yesterdays presentation was a very informative presentation. I do not know yet if I will want to go to a school for web design, as I have not thought of it that much. The speaker talked about many design majors, and I still have to think about those too. I do think some of these are lucrative careers.

Photoshop

I have many mixed thoughts on photoshop. I do like it. I like it because you can change things into many other things, and also enhance things. I think it is so popular because it is a professional program and you can do many things with it. It is not that difficult, but that may be because I've used it before. I do think it will get easier for me.

1:1 Implementation

A. I think it is a good idea and a bad idea at the same time. It's going to be very helpful-because it would get rid of most books. It's also going to be helpful because it will be more organized than notebooks and papers. I also think it is a bad idea because kids might not pay attention. They might use Facebook instead of taking the notes.

B. I have mixed thoughts about who should pay for it. If it was cheap then the students could pay for it, and the school pay the rest.

My Weekend

Over my long weekend, I did many things. I went to the football game Friday night. It was a good game and Burlington won 22-12 against Woburn. The next morning on Saturday I went to my house in Cape Cod. I stayed till Sunday afternoon. While in Cape Cod, I went out to eat and got lobster. I also went to the movies and saw The Town. The Town was a very good movie, and also took place in Boston.

On Sunday I came home in the afternoon. The rest of the day I was with my friends. On Monday, Columbus Day, I went dirt biking. I went with a lot of people.

                One great thing this blog does is list spots to go. It tells you great roads to ride on. It even says off-road spots to go to. It gives weather updates and conditions. The blog even tells you what evens are coming up.

               Another thing this blog does is review products and bikes. It tells you the best products and manufacturers. It recommends what you should buy and what you should stay away from.

My History of the Internet

          My first memory of the internet is when I was 5 or 6. I used it to play games on the internet. My mom taught me how to use it. I don't think it was hard to learn it when I first started. It did take some time to get use to it though.
          I first used the internet to mainly play games. I also used to use it for homework. Now, I still use it for both of those things, but also more now. I use it to go on social networking sites now. I can use it to look up information on basically anything
         There are many things that I think I will use the internet for in the future. One thing that I think I'll use it for is all of the same things, just upgraded and better. Maybe in the future the internet will be like a phone, where you can make calls on it. Another thing that I might use the internet for is to track things. The final thing I might use the internet for in the future is virtual reality.

Introduction
