Celtics Lose Game 4 to Heat

Last night the Celtics lost to the Miami Heat 98-90. Right now Heat is leading by one game with 3-2. If the Celtics lose one more game to them we are out. The Celtics blew numerous chances to steal the ball and score but it never happened. Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Ray Allen all tried to execute a very intricate 3 pointer but it failed.

Miami Heat beat the Boston Celtics in game 1

An astonishing lost to the Miami Heat was a sure let down. A reason why it's possible they could have lost is due to Paul Pierce getting ejected. He was ejected with 7 minutes left, after picking up two technicals in skirmishes with Wade and Jones within a span of 59 seconds.

Shaq has a chance of starting game 1 against Heat

With the Miami Heat's win Wednesday night in their first-round series against the Sixers, the C's are left with just two days of practice remaining before their travel day Saturday. They're locked into a Game 1 meeting with the Heat on Sunday afternoon.

By rushing Shaq back Thursday, the C's are giving the big man a chance to be ready for Sunday at American Airlines Arena. It's not a slam dunk that the 39-year-old center will play the opener against the Heat, but it's a possibility.

The real test for Shaq will be Friday, when he attempts to go through a full-contact practice with his Celtic teammates.

U.S. marathoners line up for Boston and London

As several of the top U.S. marathoners are putting the finishing touches on their preparations for the spring marathon season, one of the most anticipated races will be the 115th running of the B.A.A. Boston Marathon on Monday April 18.

The prime U.S. contenders in 2011 are Ryan Hall (Big Bear Lake, Calif.), who will compete in his first marathon since leaving his training group and becoming his own coach; and Kara Goucher (Portland, Ore.), who will run her first marathon since giving birth last fall.  Hall finished third in Boston in 2009, running 2:09:40 and fourth last year in 2:08:41, while Goucher took third in 2009, running 2:32:25.

Art In Schools

I think it is great to have art in schools. It is a great way to express thoughts and expressions. A school without funding for art, music and theater would a gloomy and not as energetic as schools with an art program. Having an art program is very helpful for students who are artistic and want to show off their art to others.

I am very grateful for the arts in my school. We have many different types of art, such as regular design, web design, computer design, graphic design, and also we even have sculpturing. One reason why I am grateful is very it is very interesting learning about art and how to put it to good use.

Japan Disaster

Japan's earthquake and tsunami hit Japan very hard. It had destroyed much property and peoples lives, as well as killing many people. This disaster is affecting people all over the world. Our military troops are being sent over to help them. This disaster is also costing tons of money. People in Japan have a very limited amount of food and water now.

Another problem that this disaster caused is nuclear problems and radioactivity. The nuclear plants are not being treated properly, which causes them to be overheated. This then spreads off radiation and people get radiation poisoning which make them very sick.

Books vs. E-Books

This is a very interesting topic. People have many different views and opinions on this. I think e-books are better and easier to use. This is for many reasons. One reason is because you don't have to carry around many books that become very heavy, instead they are all stored on one piece. Also, e-books can't get hurt, if you have a real book it can deteriorate.

Cyberbullying

Cyberbullying is when a person is tortured, threatened, harassed, or targeted by another person using the Internet, or technologies such as phones. People can be very emotionally hurt by these taunts, and can end up becoming a bad situation. People have been murdered or suicidal after cyberbullying incidents.

I think that it is worth it to keep all of the information about cyberbullying in schools, and the programs they have to prevent it. Just saving one person from being cyberbullied would be worth it to keep up the prevention programs of cyberbullying.

Doodling

I usually do not doodle a lot. I only will doodle when I am very bored. My definition of doodling is drawing a bunch of random things that are on your mind. It can be anything, from words to pictures. When I doodle I only do it in one of my notebooks.

Snow Days

I have mixed feelings about snow days. I like them but don't like them. This is because we get a day off, but then have to make it up in the summer. I don't mind that a lot because we don't do much in school in June anyway. I think that schools have to make them up to fill in the days we missed. We need a certain amount of days per year of school. We also make them up to make up the material we missed.

Free Post-Snow

I am writing about how much snow we have been getting. It's affecting almost everything around us. We have gotten about 4 storms with almost 10" each storm. One way it's affecting things is that it has been cancelling school a lot. Another way it has been affecting things is that it causes a hazard when driving.

With all of this snow we have gotten, it has been cancelling a lot of school. Because of this, we are going to be getting out of school in late June. Another thing its done is that it has caused many accidents and problems while driving. The snow has also been costing he city a ton of money.

Chinese Censorship On the Internet

China wants the unrestricted internet to be filtered. They forced Google to make their search results filtered. They programmed the computers to censor any forbidden information. Their main reason for this is to control the press. China censors print press to foreign and theirown Internet sites, cellphone text messages, social networking services, online chat rooms, blogs, films, e-mail and online games.

Napster vs iTunes vs Limewire

My choice between napster, itunes or limewire is itunes. The main reason why I choose itunes is because it is legal. If you get caught using limewire illegally, there is big fines and jail time. One reason why I don't use napster is because it isn't that popular and is more difficult to use/understand. Another reason why I use itunes is because of the sound quality. On limewire, the sound gets crackly and "fuzzy". Although itunes can get expensive between the songs/tv shows/movies, I think it is the best choice to use.
